How to use the Renew action for proposals

Discover how the Renew action in GoProposal helps you create a new proposal linked to a previously won proposal or Letter of Engagement.

The Renew feature provides a structured way to continue client engagements without starting from scratch. It improves efficiency, maintains compliance, and ensures visibility across the client lifecycle. Unlike the Duplicate option, which creates a standalone copy, Renew preserves traceability and an audit trail.

When you select Renew, the system:

  • Carries forward key details from the original proposal

  • Maintains a link between the original and renewed proposal

  • Preserves an audit trail for compliance and tracking

  • Reduces manual effort and confusion compared to duplication


Use the Renew action for proposals

  1. Go to the Proposals and Engagement Letters tab in the dashboard.

  2. Find the previously won proposal or engagement letter you want to renew.

  3. Click the Actions button on the right-hand side and select Renew.

  • The new proposal will pre-populate with key details from the original

  • Update and services, pricing, or terms as needed

  • Complete the proposal as usual and send it to your client

You’ve created a new proposal linked to the original. This ensures continuity, compliance, and full visibility of client engagement history.
