Written by Jack Choppin

Each proposal template in GoProposal can have its own email content. This allows you to tailor messages for different types of work and ensure professional communication with clients and staff.

Edit the proposal template

  1. Go to configure and select Templates & Emails.

  2. Click Edit next to the template you want to update.

  3. Select the Emails tab in the pop-up.

  4. Update the following:

    • Client Email: Sent to the primary contact and any additional signatories when you send a proposal and engagement letter

    • Staff Email: Sent to the team member who created the proposal

  5. Use merge tags to automate key details, such as client name or firm information.

  6. Click Save Template.

Check email deliverability

  • Each template displays a traffic light indicator:

    • Green: Good deliverability

    • Amber or Red: Low deliverability; emails may go to spam

  • To improve deliverability:

    1. Click Check email for spam.

    2. Follow the recommendations to edit your content.

The system will use your customised email content whenever you send a proposal using this template.
