How to create and edit packages

You can group services and upsells into templates with GoProposal packages. Use them as quick starting points for proposals to save time and keep things consistent.

Written by Jack Choppin

Create or edit a package

  1. Click Configure, then select Packages.

  2. Review the list of existing packages.

  • To create a new package, click Add Package Template

  • To edit an existing package, click Edit next to the package name. When configuring a package, select the line items (individual services) you want to associate with it. These line items will be available for selection when building a proposal, ensuring the services remain grouped as you configured

Configure package settings

  • Set the annual revenue range, proposal type, and Letter of Engagement for the package

  • Select the services and upsells to include

  • Use the roadmap feature and variations for more complex configurations

📌 TIP: You can still edit a package after loading it into a proposal. Packages act as a starting point.

Hide services or sections

  • To hide a service, toggle the Included button off for that line item

  • To hide an entire section, toggle the Included button off for the section

📎 NOTE: When you've hidden the section, the status of individual line items doesn’t affect anything.

Click Save Package when you're finished editing.

Managing Line Items

To organize your line items effectively, you can create new sections for them. This helps in categorising services within your proposals.

  1. Go to Configure and select Line items in the GoProposal application.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select New section.

  3. Name the section and configure it you need.
