How to view and verify signed proposals

Understand how to verify proposals that a client has signed in GoProposal.

GoProposal provides tools to access and verify signed proposals. This includes viewing signed documents, identifying signatories, and configuring principal signatures.

Viewing signed proposal documents

  1. Go to the Proposals tab.

  2. Locate the specific proposal you want to review.

  3. Under the Documents section, download the signed letter of engagement.

The signature section at the end of the document displays the signatures as they appear at the time of signing. If you haven't enabled principal signatures in your account, only the client’s signature is visible.

Identifying Signatories

  1. Open the proposal.

  2. Go to Actions and select View Signatories (or View Signatures for a live proposal).

This displays the signer’s name and the timestamp of the signature. The signer is typically the contact to whom you sent the proposal, as the Client Details section of the proposal shows.

Configuring Principal Signatures

If you want your own signature to appear on engagement letters alongside the client’s signature, you need to enable principal signatures.

  1. Go to Configure and select Engagement Letters.

  2. Click Agreement Statement.

  3. Tick the box to enable principal signatures.

  4. Add a principal by going to Configure and selecting Engagement Letters. Then click Key People, before clicking Add Principal.

Once you enable this, future engagement letters will include your signature after the client signs. This change won't apply retroactively to previously sent proposals.
