How to hide version numbers on proposals

Learn how to hide version numbers (for example, v1, v2, v3) from client-facing proposals in GoProposal.

Written by Russell Henderson

When you create multiple versions of a proposal by editing and saving drafts, version numbers appear on your dashboard. You can hide these numbers from client documents by enabling discreet mode.

Hide version numbers on proposals

  1. Go to Settings and select Company.

  2. Scroll down to the Include versioning on the proposal number section.

  3. Select Discreet Mode to hide version numbers.

  4. Click Save Settings.

📎NOTE: Version numbers will still appear on your dashboard for internal reference.

📌TIP: Client-facing proposals and engagement letters won't display version numbers once you enable discreet mode.

Your clients will no longer see version numbers on proposals or engagement letters.
