How to edit the Alignment Fee description and control its application

Understand how to change the Alignment Fee description in GoProposal and manage which services and proposals it applies to.

The Alignment Fee helps you recover catch-up costs for services billed annually. This ensures you don't lose revenue. It appears in the calculation when creating a proposal and in the client's proposal. You can customise its description and control which services and proposal templates it applies to.


Edit the Alignment Fee description

  1. Go to Configure and select Pricing Tool.

  2. Select the Alignment Fee tab.

  3. On this page, you can:

    • Select the services where you want the Alignment Fee to apply

    • Choose specific proposal templates or apply the fee to all proposals

    • Define how you want to present the fee when creating a proposal

    • Customise the explanation shown in the client proposal document

    • Use the Monthly and One-Off fields to tailor descriptions based on the client’s payment method

  4. Click Save Settings.

  5. Create a dummy proposal to preview the changes.

Your Alignment Fee will now display with your chosen description and apply only to the selected services and proposals.
