What is the purpose of the nominated individual in engagement letters?

Learn why OverSuite requires a nominated individual when sending engagement letters in GoProposal and how this protects your firm.

Written by Russell Henderson

When sending an engagement letter through GoProposal and OverSuite™, you must select a nominated individual. This person acts as your main point of contact for providing instructions and information.

Other parties can also authorise the engagement letter as additional signatories. By signing, they confirm the authority of the nominated individual to give you definitive instructions.

This process protects you by ensuring:

  • You have one primary contact for advice and decisions

  • You avoid confusion if conflicting instructions arise

  • You’re safeguarded if there’s an internal dispute later

What if I need to take instructions from other directors?

You can still take instructions from other directors if:

  • The nominated individual has been agreed by all directors

  • The nominated individual is happy for you to liaise with others for specific matters
