Learn about the default and custom user roles in GoProposal AML and how to manage permissions.

Written by Russell Henderson

GoProposal AML provides Know Your Client (KYC), risk assessments, and ID checks integrated with proposals and renewals. You can control user permissions by:

  • Assigning a default role

  • Creating a custom role

Default roles in GoProposal AML

There are four default roles:

  • Global Administrator

    • Full access to all GoProposal and AML features

  • AML Executive

    • Can create and approve risk assessments, KYC, and ID checks

    • Restricted to AML only, no proposal permissions

  • AML Member

    • Can create risk assessments, KYC, and run ID checks

    • Must send to an AML Executive or Global Administrator for approval

    • Restricted to AML only, no proposal permissions

  • Proposal and AML Member

    • Can create and send proposals (can’t view others’ proposals)

    • Can create risk assessments, KYC, and run ID checks

    • Must send to an AML Executive or Global Administrator for approval

Assign AML-specific roles to team members who only need AML access.

Assign a default role

  1. Go to Account and select Manage Users.

  2. Click Edit User next to the relevant person.

  3. Select the relevant user from the Role dropdown menu.

  4. Click Update User to save.

Creating custom roles

If you need more flexibility, create a custom role:

  1. Go to Account and select Manage Users.

  2. Go to the Roles tab.

  3. Click Add New Role.

  4. Give the new role a name and enter the permissions you want to assign.

  5. Click Save Role.

  6. You can now assign this custom role to users.

User limits and pricing

  • Users with AML-only permissions count towards your AML user limit

  • Default AML roles: AML Executive and AML Member

  • Custom roles with AML-only permissions also count towards the AML limit
