What engagement letter do I use if I outsource payroll?

  • You can use any OverSuite engagement letter, for example Limited Company (Non-Audit), if you:

    • Answer Yes to the question in the Data Protection section: Do you subcontract, outsource or offshore work, either in this country or overseas?

    • Create a separate line item for Outsourced Payroll and use the service schedule Payroll – via Payroll Sorted

  • Update the service schedule to reflect your outsourcer’s details and your working arrangement

📎NOTE: You're in charge of making sure the outsourcer follows GDPR rules. You need to list any countries where you might send data. Also, check that they meet the same ethical and professional standards.

How do I communicate that I transfer data outside the UK?

  • In the OverSuite wizard, answer Yes to Do you transfer data outside of the UK?

  • Enter the countries where the data is transferred

  • Check with your software providers to confirm which countries to include

📎 NOTE: If clients access data in another country, it counts as a transfer outside the UK.
