Sometimes when you create a proposal, your system can get stuck on calculating totals.

Run through the checks below to troubleshoot why this is happening.

Are Xero/Quickbooks integrations set up correctly?

A common cause is a connection drop with either your Xero or Quickbooks integration or an incorrect setup of these.

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Click Integrations.

  3. Choose Xero or Quickbooks.

  4. On this page, check all of the fields are complete.

If fields are missing, reconnect the integration by switching it on and off using the toggle.

Check your line item pricing

Any fields within your line item pricing that don't have a value can cause issues when calculating the totals of all the services. This is because the system is trying to do calculations on a service where the value doesn't exist.

Example:

  1. To narrow down which line item is causing the issue, check which services you have selected in the Create Proposal page.

  2. Once done head to the back end of the app, click Configure, then Line items.

  3. Edit each line item.

  4. Click into the pricing tab and look for any empty fields.

Consider your browser extensions

Grammarly can affect the proper functioning of GoProposal. This extension can also cause substantial slowness when using the app.

If you're using Grammarly, we recommend you use GoProposal in a separate browser, an incognito window, or switch off the extension where you are happy to.

To test if the cause of the issue is Grammarly or another extension you're using, load the app in a private browser and see if your problem persists.
