How to assign Key People

Understand how to add and manage Key People in GoProposal. This means they'll appear in engagement letters and helps you meet compliance requirements.

Written by Russell Henderson

If your organisation has multiple responsible people, you can assign a principal in charge for each client engagement.

In GoProposal, we call these individuals Key People. Adding them allows you to:

  • Assign a principal in charge for every proposal

  • Include a list of directors, partners, or members in engagement letters to meet regulatory requirements

Add or edit Key People

  1. Go to Configure and select Engagement Letters.

  2. Select the Key People tab.

  3. Select Add New Principal to add a new Key Person, or Edit to update existing details.

  4. Enter the name and select the role of the Key Person.

  5. (Optional) Upload their signature and assign their qualification.

  6. Save the record and repeat for all directors, partners, and auditors.

Assign a principal in proposals

  • When creating a proposal, select the principal in charge in the Complete Details stage

  • The selected Key Person’s name will appear in the engagement letter

Include a list of Key People in engagement letters

  • You can display a list of directors, partners, or members in your engagement letters using Letterhead Components

  • The system generates the list from the Key People you've added in GoProposal

For OverSuite users

If you use Smart Engagement Letters, the system will also ask you to select the auditor for audit work during proposal creation.
