How to include your Privacy Notice in an engagement letter

Learn how to add your Privacy Notice to GoProposal so clients can authorise it when signing the engagement letter.

Written by Russell Henderson

Most organisations require clients to authorise a Privacy Notice during onboarding. In GoProposal, you can:

  • Include the Privacy Notice in your engagement letter for signature

  • Or manage it separately through your own process

If included in GoProposal, both the engagement letter and Privacy Notice will display a signature when approved.

Step 1 - Add your Privacy Notice

  1. Go to Configure and select Engagement Letters.

  2. In the Engagement Letter Suite, open the Privacy Notice tab.

  3. Switch the Privacy Notice on.

  4. Copy and paste your Privacy Notice into the provided field.

  5. Click Save Settings.

If you subscribe to OverSuite:

  • The system generates a Privacy Notice automatically and tailors it to your firm

  • Select the OverSuite version to include it in your engagement letters

Save your settings when complete.

Step 2 - Preview and confirm inclusion

  1. Create a proposal and select your engagement letter.

  2. In the Complete Proposal stage, scroll down to preview the document.

  3. The Privacy Notice will appear at the end of the engagement letter.

When the client signs the engagement letter, they also authorise the Privacy Notice.
If you need multiple signatures, you can request all signatories to sign. They’ll authorise the Privacy Notice during proposal creation.
