Written by Support

Step 1 - Create the proposal

  1. Create a proposal in as normal.

  2. In the Complete Proposal stage, be sure to enter the client’s full address.

Step 2 - Proposal becomes a quote in Sage Accounting

After sending the proposal and it shows as Live on your dashboard:

  1. Log in to Sage Accounting.

  2. Go to Sales and select Quotes and Estimates.

  3. The quote for this proposal appears at the top of the list as Pending.

  4. The GoProposal ID displays in the invoice reference.

📎 NOTE: Invoice numbers follow your Sage Accounting settings. To change this, update the settings in Sage Accounting.

Step 3 - A quote becomes an invoice

When the client accepts the proposal:

  • The quote status changes to Invoiced in Sage Accounting

  • The invoice appears in Sales Invoices

Step 4 - Sending invoices to clients

Currently, you must send invoices manually from Sage Accounting.

Step 5 - Setting up recurring invoices

To create recurring invoices, configure this within the invoice in Sage Accounting.

Step 6 - Marking a proposal as lost

  • If you mark a proposal as Lost in GoProposal, the quote status changes to Declined in Sage Accounting

  • If you reset the proposal to Live and then manually mark it as Won, the status updates to Invoiced in Sage Accounting
